1. The PlaceDJ service
PlaceDJ provides business music tools for physical venues, including access to its AI-generated catalog, venue and device controls, schedules, and playback features. These terms apply when you create an account, subscribe to a plan or use the service. The contracting party for a paid subscription is the service provider identified in your checkout confirmation or invoice. Plan-specific prices and limits are shown in your account and at checkout.
2. Accounts, venues and devices
You must provide accurate account and venue information and keep sign-in credentials secure. A workspace owner or authorized admin manages its venues, team access, registered Players and billing. You are responsible for the people and devices you authorize to use your workspace.
Use PlaceDJ only at venues you are authorized to operate, and use supported playback devices in a way that does not interfere with public safety or venue operations.
3. Subscription, billing and cancellation
Available plans, prices, billing interval, taxes and included limits are presented at checkout or in the account. Where Stripe billing is enabled, Stripe processes payment and subscription transactions; PlaceDJ records the subscription state needed to provide the selected plan and manage the service.
Plan access follows the entitlement displayed by PlaceDJ, including any trial, payment grace period or scheduled cancellation. Manage or cancel a subscription through the account billing controls where available. The effective date of a change, renewal, payment failure, refund or statutory withdrawal right follows the checkout terms and applicable law. Nothing in these terms waives a right that cannot legally be waived.
4. PlaceDJ catalog and business playback
The PlaceDJ catalog consists of AI-generated music owned by PlaceDJ. PlaceDJ holds commercial rights for the catalog, including the business and in-venue playback described by the service. These rights apply only to music supplied through PlaceDJ and remain subject to the venue, subscription and service scope shown in your account.
A PlaceDJ venue certificate records a specific venue’s PlaceDJ music service, issue period and applicable terms version; optional territory details appear when supplied. An active paid Starter, Pro or Business membership is required to issue a certificate. It is service documentation, not a government-issued license or an exemption for music obtained from another source. Read Music Rights for the coverage summary.
5. Music from other sources
PlaceDJ coverage applies only to music supplied through PlaceDJ. Music played from another streaming service, radio, personal library, DJ, television or other source is outside that coverage unless a separate right or permission applies. You are responsible for obtaining permissions required for music outside the PlaceDJ catalog.
6. Restrictions
You may not copy, extract, record, redistribute, resell, sublicense, publicly retransmit or make catalog audio available outside the PlaceDJ service. You may not bypass access controls, share a workspace outside its authorized team, use catalog audio to train or build a competing service, or remove rights notices. Temporary offline caching expressly provided by PlaceDJ is permitted only for playback in the app and remains subject to the same venue, subscription and catalog conditions.
7. Availability and service limits
Playback depends on supported software and devices, network conditions, workspace access and current catalog availability. PlaceDJ may update, suspend or remove features or catalog material to maintain security, comply with law, respond to rights changes or improve the service. PlaceDJ takes reasonable steps to ensure a certificate does not show an inactive authorization as current.
Service availability can be interrupted by maintenance, network or provider failures, security events and circumstances outside PlaceDJ’s control. Any liability limitation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Suspension and termination
PlaceDJ may restrict access if needed to protect an account, investigate misuse, respond to a legal or rights-holder request, or enforce these terms. A workspace owner may stop a subscription through its billing controls. When the underlying subscription or authorization ends, catalog playback and any related venue certificate may cease to be eligible.
9. Applicable law and disputes
These terms operate alongside the mandatory laws that apply to the contracting party and the venue using PlaceDJ. They do not exclude mandatory consumer or business protections. If you have a question or dispute, contact PlaceDJ first so we can try to resolve it directly; statutory rights and competent dispute-resolution forums remain available.
10. Contact and updates
For service, subscription or legal notices, contact PlaceDJ at kazim@toork.com. PlaceDJ may update these terms when its service, catalog, billing or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the service where required.
